Support the Aussie based Dressage riders campaigning for Rio

Dressage supporters can get behind the Australian based combinations headed to Europe to attend the two nomination events by donating to the Australian Dressage International Travel Fund.

EA supports the Australian Dressage International Travel Fund but please be advised EA has no access to the funds raised nor does it have any input into how the funds are distributed. This is the responsibility of the executors of the Trust. Learn more about the trust.

The Australian Dressage Committee (ADC) offers its congratulations to each of the top eight nominated athletes and is asking the dressage community to consider donating to the Australian Dressage International Travel Fund to support those athletes making the journey from Australia.

“The ADC congratulates the eight nominated combinations which have been named to take part in the European nomination events and we look forward to supporting all of our Rio hopefuls as they pursue their Olympic goals,” said ADC Chair, Mary Seefried.

“If every EA member with a Dressage performance card donated $10 to the Travel Fund then we would raise more than $50,000 for the athletes travelling from Australia to attend the nomination events,” said Mrs Seefried.

The three Australian based athletes who would benefit from the funds are Brett Parbery, Maree Tomkinson and Sue Hearn. Fellow Australian based athlete Mary Hanna and her husband Rob have pledged their support to the trust as the first to donate and have both been instrumental in stimulating the development of the trust.
