Boyd Exell Set to Defend World Cup Title as New Season Begins

The 2025–2026 FEI Driving World Cup™ season is about to get underway, and once again, all eyes will be on Australian champion Boyd Exell as he begins his campaign to secure a remarkable 12th World Cup title.

Boyd, who continues to set the benchmark in the world of four-in-hand driving, will compete at four key legs this season: Lyon (France), Maastricht (Netherlands), Geneva (Switzerland) and Stockholm (Sweden), before the series culminates in the Final at Bordeaux in February 2026.

Having first claimed the title in 2009, Boyd has dominated the World Cup for more than a decade, combining precision, consistency and unmatched partnership with his horses. He returns to the arena as the reigning World Cup Champion and current world number one.

Boyd will once again rely on his experienced team led by Bundy, now 22 years old, who achieved a milestone 101st World Cup winning round at the 2025 Final in Bordeaux.

The series begins in Lyon (France) on 1 November, before moving through the established European indoor circuit, including Boyd’s next appearances at Maastricht, Stockholm and Geneva.

Each event offers valuable qualifying points toward the World Cup Final in Bordeaux, where the top six drivers will compete for the ultimate indoor driving title.
