Board Update - April 2026

April was another active month for the EA Board, with a strong focus on engagement, collaboration and the ongoing sustainability of equestrian sport in Australia.

Adelaide Equestrian Festival was a key highlight, bringing together athletes, officials, volunteers, owners, supporters and members across four days of competition and connection. The event attracted a record-breaking crowd and provided an important opportunity to showcase the strength and appeal of equestrian sport on a national and international stage. The Chair and Athlete Director attended, including a visit to the EA trade stand, where they had the pleasure of speaking with a number of members about the strategic direction of the organisation.

The Board also continued its ongoing meetings with State Boards regarding financial sustainability. These discussions remain an important part of ensuring EA and the States work together constructively on the long-term health of the sport, with a shared focus on responsible planning, practical solutions and supporting members into the future.

The Board met last night to discuss the organisation's financials and review initiatives being progressed by management. This work reflects the Board's ongoing commitment to ensuring EA operates as effectively and sustainably as possible – always with a member-centric focus and a dedication to delivering the best possible services and value to members.

Board representatives also attended the Equestrian Queensland AGM, providing a valuable opportunity to hear directly from the Queensland equestrian community and continue strengthening relationships across the national and state structure.

The Board looks forward to continuing this work in the month ahead, with a focus on collaboration, transparency and building a stronger, more sustainable future for equestrian sport in Australia.
