EOIs – Trans-Tasman Borrowed Horse Event
Expressions of Interest (EOI) are currently being sought from Australian Young Riders who wish to compete and represent Australia at the Trans-Tasman Borrowed Horse Event, to be held at the Tamworth World Cup Show from 8–11 October 2026.
Team Composition

Four (4) riders will be selected for this event and will compete as a team.

The decision of the Australian National Jumping Selectors is final.
Athlete Responsibilities and Eligibility

Athletes must be of Young Rider age as per the EA Jumping Rules – Article 255.4: "Athletes may take part in Competitions and Championships for Young Riders from the beginning of the calendar year in which they reach the age of 16 until the end of the calendar year they reach the age of 21."

Australian athletes selected must provide two (2) horses for the competition.

Horses must have experience competing at 1.25m or above and be approved by the Organising Committee.

Horses selected for the Trans-Tasman Competition cannot compete in any other competition prior to the completion of the Trans-Tasman competition at Tamworth.

Australian athletes are responsible for feeding, looking after and caring for their allocated horses during the event.

Australian athletes must provide full competition tack for each horse.
