Madeline Sinderberry and Ciel winning 2019 Australian Young Rider Championship

2019 Australian Jumping Young Rider Series Champion - Madeline Sinderberry

Madeline Sinderberry has been declared the winner of the Australian Young Rider Selection Series for Jumping for 2019.

Madi has let us know a little about the 2019 Series and what she is now doing.

"2019 was a successful year for me with Oaks Kosmo placing in our first three World Cup Qualifiers, then qualifying and jumping the AQUIS Gold Tour Final. Keilor Bamboo showed lots of potential, the highlight being overall 5yo champion at AQUIS.

I also started working at Yandoo Park in 2019, my first year out of school. Thanks to Jamie and Jamie, and Sue Middleton for giving me the ride on the very talented Ciel. I had a great season with Ciel, including most successful Young Rider at Melbourne Royal and winning the Young Rider Australian Championship. It was very special to win four Australian Championships in a row (3 Young Rider and a Junior).

In March 2020 I spent 6 days at Stal Tops, then had to fly home because of COVID-19. The time was very short, but it was interesting to learn a little about stable and horse management in Europe.

I am now riding at Rosthwaite Farm with James Arkins where I am enjoying developing some quality young horses and teaching in the riding school. However, I am excited to be able to get to a show again so I can gain some more experience around bigger tracks with Avenden Indigo.

My own horses are very young, so I am grateful to Jamie and Jamie at Yandoo Park in 2019, and James at Rosthwaite Farm in 2020 for giving me the opportunity to develop my skills and ride a range of horses from the very young through to the more experienced ones. I’m also very thankful for many years of invaluable support from Trailrace and 4Cyte Epitalis."
