Aussie team's Eventing Nations Cup update in the Houghton Hall leg

The 2015 Houghton International Horse Trials took place in the grounds of Houghton Hall, Norfolk, England from 28-31 May. After gaining International status in 2007 the event now welcomes over 700 horses each year, including more than 350 International competitors. It hosts the only British leg of the FEI Nations Cup™ Eventing Series 2015.

An Australian team composed of Chris Burton, Andrew Hoy and Kevin McNab finished sixth overall.

The Aussies were good after the dressage test and individually Kevin McNab and his bay Australian Warmblood Casperelli (48.2) were in 9th place. McNab was also riding two other horses in the CIC*** Fernhill Quality Street and Dustman who jumped double clear. Unfortunately, Andrew Hoy was unseated in the cross-country by his relatively new mount, The Blue Frontier, a 14-year-old Irish sport horse, previously riden by Saudra Auffarth. Chris Burton was also riding a new and young promising horse Monarchs Exclusive, a 9-year-old chestnut mare and finished with 66.6. He finished at a good second position in the CCI** with Nobilis 18

The Australian team stays in 3nd position of the FEI Nations Cup™ Eventing Series 2015 leaderboard after three out of eight events, equally placed with The Netherlands with 14 points, behind Great Britain and France.
