COVID-19 Impact on Equestrian Australia

Safeguarding the organisational and financial sustainability of Equestrian Australia so we can continue to serve our members despite the challenges of COVID-19 is our priority.

We have therefore decided to appropriately scale our operations to give EA the agility it needs to best manage the oncoming economic downturn, while maintaining the capacity, expertise and experience required to enable the sport to recover as restrictions are eased.

All high performance staff reduced their paid work hours by 25 per cent earlier this month.

All operational staff will take a 20 per cent reduction in their paid work hours from 1 May until further notice.

The EA office will be closed each Friday until further notice, with staff on leave as part of a staff welfare strategy to minimise any loss of wages and reduce our leave liability.

Recruitment processes for a CEO and the Pathways Athletes positions have been placed on hold.

In these difficult times innovative and new competitive advantages in our sport delivery are emerging. EA, State Branches, National Discipline and Coaching Committees continue to work together to develop strategies to engage our members in sporting activity during the restriction period and support them to return to competitions when restrictions are eased.
