EA Concussion in Sport Protocols & Training in Final Stages

Updates for the Equestrian Australia Concussion in Sport Protocols and Training is now in its final stages of review and development.

Concussion in our sport has had a fresh update of reporting forms and protocols and is now inclusive of all equestrian disciplines. New learning and education material will be available for all athletes, officials, coaches, organising committees and others to access.

In addition, some of our fabulous doctors and nurses from the Medical Consultative Group, along with the EA National Safety Manager, will be presenting general and equestrian specific concussion information in a short online training video.

We will share with you what concussion is, the importance of reporting and managing concussion, how to use the updated EA concussion reporting forms and be available to answer any of your questions. This training is scheduled to commence roll-out in early 2021.

Please embrace this opportunity to learn and understand our role in managing concussion in our sport, with training dates soon to be released for 2021.
