Excellent results conclude Hartpury for our Para Equestrians

Australian Para-Equestrians Emma Booth and Danielle Weymark have finished their first ever international competition on a high, with both riders producing excellent results in the Grade 2 Freestyle competition at the CEPDI3* Harpury Festival of Dressage.

Emma Booth and Sally Rose scored 69.450% which landed them 5th place, with Danielle Weymark and Reno following closely in 7th place with 67.750%.

Danielle Weymark took to social media to show her appreciation to the owners of her competition horse. “Thank you so much Pippa Clifton for loaning us your gorgeous boy! He was so well behaved and had tons of fun! They both did so well and we're so proud with a 67.7% in the freestyle today!

Day two of the Hartpury Festival of Dressage is complete

Our Para Equestrians have produced pleasing results on the second day of competition at the Hartpury CPEDI3.

The individual championship test saw Emma Booth and Sally Rose score 65.314% landing them 6th place, Danielle Weymark and Reno followed closely with 64.771% in 7th position with Dale Johnston and The Duchman coming into 9th place with 60.629%.

On her Facebook page a pleased Danielle Weymark reported “Reno was so amazing today! We improved on our score from yesterday with a 64.771% & a very accurate test! Very happy, looking forward to freestyle tomorrow!”

Tomorrow, the competition will conclude with the Freestyle. Equestrian Australia wishes our Australian Para-Equestrian team good luck and congratulates them on their excellent results.

Para Equestrians off to a flying start at Hartpury

They may be on unfamiliar horses but Australia's Para-Equestrians have made a good first impression following the first team event at Hartpury CPEDI3* 

In the grade two team’s test Emma Booth and Sally Rose finished in 5th place with a score of 67.353%, Danielle Weymark and Reno were following in 7th position on 63.647%, and in 9th place was Dale Johnston and The Dutchman on 62.118%.

With the international competition debut complete for Booth and Weymark, the riders are now busy preparing for the individual competition. “Reno was amazing in our first test today! He's such a super pony! Finished with a pleasing but definitely improvable score of 63%. Bring on tomorrow,” reflected an excited Weymark on her Facebook page.

Australian Para-Equestrians set to compete at Hartpury CPEDI3*

An Australian team comprising of grade II Para-Equestrians Danielle Weymark, Emma Booth, and Dale Johnston have ventured to the UK to participate in the Hartpury Dressage Festival from the 9th - 13th July. The competition features a team's event, an individual competition with the event concluding with the freestyle class.

The event marks a monumental occasion for Weymark and Booth who are experiencing their International overseas competition debut. “I’m looking forward to the experience of competing in the international environment as well as gaining the valuable experience of riding a variety of horses,” said Weymark.

The riders are all competing on borrowed horses with Booth riding Sally Rose, Weymark riding Reno and Johnston riding The Dutchman.

‘Reno was such a good boy in the arena familiarisation today! So proud to be representing Australia in our first overseas competition!’ reflected Weymark on her Facebook page last night.
