Job Opening - Sport Development Officer

We are seeking a Sport Development Officer to work with and provide administrative support and development frameworks to National Discipline Committees (NDCs) in fulfilling their obligations and workplans aligned with the Equestrian Australia Whole of Sport Strategy. You will be confident in establishing quality and productive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. You will have developed effective administrative workflows to increase efficiency and enhance the quality of output and have confidence to make recommendations where appropriate. You’ll be responsible for assisting the NDCs achieve their outcomes as well as day to day meeting support. This will require high attention to detail, working within tight deadlines and responding well under pressure. An ability to anticipate problems and respond well to resolve them is an advantage.

Your friendly manner and polished communication skills will be important to enable you to liaise with a variety of key stakeholders including our members, volunteers, and staff. Your superior time management skills will enable you tomanage the ebb and flow of a cyclical workflow.

You will develop a detailed understanding of EA policy and process, as well as those of the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) and the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI). 

Equestrian knowledge and an interest in the development of equestrian sport is a must.
