Nominations Open for Queensland International Three Day Event

Nominations are open for the 2015 Queensland International Three Day Event (QI3DE).

The event, which includes the Queensland State Eventing championships, will be held at Noosa Equestrian Centre, Tandur from Saturday 3 to Monday 5 October.

QI3DE president Dr Cameron Osborne said this year’s event offered more than $10,000 prize money in three international and five national classes.

“We’ve introduced an EvQ60 pre introductory class to encourage juniors and newcomers to the sport of eventing.”

The full range of classes is:

  • Gympie Saddleworld CIC 3*
  • IRT CIC2*
  • NQ Group CCI1*
  • Eventing Queensland CNC1*
  • OzShotz CCN105
  • EvA95
  • EvA80
  • EvQ60.

 “Nominations are limited to 40 per class so get in quick to avoid disappointment,” Dr Osborne said.

“There is also the third annual State of Origin challenge between Queensland and New South Wales, a Showjumping grand prix featuring some of Queensland’s top young riders, and the Irish Draught and Sport Horse Society (Aust) Inc award for the best performed Irish horse at the event.

“For spectators and competitors alike there is plenty of entertainment including a cross country night party with live entertainment and a puppy puissance competition,” Dr Osborne said.

All competitors must be members of Equestrian Australia.  To nominate go to nominate.com.au before 18 September.
