CEO Update - March

As we move through March, I want to take a moment to share some of the work happening behind the scenes, guided by a clear focus on our members and the future of our sport.

A key priority has been a thorough review of our internal operations to ensure we are genuinely member-centric in both our thinking and delivery. This is about more than process. It is about making sure that the decisions we take, the services we provide, and the way we communicate are aligned with what matters most to you as members.

We have also been engaging in ongoing conversations with our State bodies around financial sustainability. These discussions are important from a management perspective, helping us to better understand the challenges and opportunities across the country, and to work together towards a more stable and sustainable future for equestrian sport in Australia.

During March, I had the opportunity to travel to Western Australia where I met with the Equestrian Western Australia CEO and Chair. It was incredibly valuable to spend time together in person, including a tour of the State Equestrian Centre and the chance to meet the dedicated team on the ground. These visits are an important part of staying connected, listening, and building strong working relationships across the network.

We are also currently developing a dedicated IT Communications Plan. This will provide more regular and transparent updates, with a focus on the areas that matter most to members. We recognise that clear, consistent communication is essential, particularly as we continue to evolve and improve our systems.

Thank you, as always, for your ongoing engagement and feedback. It continues to shape the way we move forward as an organisation, and it remains central to everything we do.
