FEI Database update to improve horse identification

Please note that there has been a change implemented by the FEI in regards to riders FEI entries into the FEI Entry System which is effective immediately.

Existing passports require no further action.

As of today, all newly issued FEI Passports and FEI Recognition Cards will require scans/files of the necessary documents/pages to be uploaded by the National Federation on the FEI Database before the horse in question can be entered for a FEI event. For modifications made to existing FEI documents that require new stickers, the relevant scans/pages will also need to be uploaded on the FEI Database.

These changes have been made by the FEI to improve horse identification and traceability at events, during international travel and throughout the horse’s career.

All uploads will be manually verified by the FEI and certain documents will be subject to rejection if not as required. If a document is rejected, the National Federation will be informed of which document/page has not been accepted and the reason for rejection.

It will not be possible to enter the horse for any FEI event, or for the horse to compete until the correct document has been uploaded on the FEI Database.

Therefore this means that a newly issued passport/recognition card must be completed and uploaded into the system before the horse can enter an FEI event. So when riders are purchasing a new FEI passport/recognition card they must allow enough time for this process to be completed before the entry is to be made. Furthermore it is imperative that the FEI Passport/recognition card is completed correctly in order for the FEI to accept the document and allow the entry.

How to complete the FEI Passport/recognition card correctly ?
