Important reaccreditation information for coaches

The reaccreditation process for NCAS coaches now occurs every three years rather than every two years – see more

In addition to completing their annual coach renewal, this year all NCAS Coaches will be required to undergo reaccreditation. Coaches will need to have attended one Coach Update during the previous two years (1.7.14-30.6.16) Please Note: The next reaccreditation process for NCAS coaches will occur every three years  (1.7.16-30.6.19) and you will be required to attend one Coach Update during this reaccreditation period.

The Coach renewal period will open in June.

Coach reaccreditation requires all NCAS Coaches to complete professional development activities on a regular basis. In addition, to maintain accreditation all coaches must be actively coaching and attend a compulsory coach update clinic every three years.

Further information on the reaccreditation requirements will be provided to all NCAS coaches prior to the June renewal period.

Also and for the first time, at the point of renewing, all NCAS Coaches will be required to provide to EA evidence of the following:

  • Senior First Aid certification and
  • Working With Children Check (or the equivalent for your State).

You will not be re-accredited without providing evidence of these two certifications. Understanding some of these certifications are valid for multiple years, from 2017 and beyond, Coaches will be responsible for providing updated proof of certification as and when appropriate. In essence, EA must always have proof of current certification on file.
