Para-Dressage Competitors Set to Contest National Titles

The 2019 Para-Dressage National Championships is set to deliver a week of hotly contested competition at Boneo Park on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula from the 14th – 17th November 2019.

The Championship Event is being run by Carlton Performance Horses and is an exciting addition to the Australian Para-Dressage calendar.

This year’s Para-Dressage National Championships will include a CPEDI3* class which will count toward Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Qualifications, as well as a CPEDN and EA National Classes for riders of all levels.

There is a record number of entries in the CPEDI3* class with 18 combinations competing across all five Grades. Each combination will perform their tests before two of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Judges offering a unique opportunity ahead of the Games next year. The all important performance could carry the riders one step closer to a spot on the AUS Paralympic Team in Tokyo.

The Event will also incorporate able body classes from Preliminary to Grand Prix adding additional support and atmosphere to the already greatly anticipated Championship event.

“It is great to see a record number of athletes competing in the CPEDI3* class, and vying for a spot on the Australian Paralympic Team. The increase in combinations and the dedication of our athletes is a strong indication of the talent pool we will have for Tokyo 2020 selection.

EA High Performance would like to extend their thanks to Jade Woodhead and her team for supporting our para-athletes and organising the Event.” said EA High Performance Director, Chris Webb.
