Qualification Process for the FEI WBFSH Dressage World Breeding Championship for Young Horses 2022, Ermelo, The Netherlands, 8-11 September 2022.

Due to a recent change in the FEI Qualification Guidelines for Young Horse Championships, qualifying scores can no longer be obtained at young horse competitions at CDN events.  Consequently, the Equestrian Australia Dressage Selection Panel can only consider scores from CDI-YHs (applicable to Australian competitors based in the Northern Hemisphere), and for Australian combinations, from one event designated as the national selection procedure.

For consideration for the World Young Horse Championship for 2022, the national selection procedure event will be the Australian Young Dressage Horse Championships at Dressage and Jumping with the Stars, Werribee Park NEC 24-26 March 2022.

As in previous years, the winners of the Five Year Old Championship and the Six Year Old Championship at the Australian Young Dressage Horse Championships, providing they fulfil the scoring criteria, will automatically be offered the opportunity to represent Australia at the World Young Horse Championships.

The process for expressions of interest from all eligible combinations both from Australia and the Northern Hemisphere will be published on the Equestrian Australia website in early March.
