Sydney 3DE concludes a full weekend of superb competition

The Limitless Lodge Sydney International Three Day Event concluded with the jumping phase yesterday to wrap an very exciting 3 days of competitioon at Sydney International Equestrian Centre.

In the Limitless Lodge CCI4*L, Oliver Barrett and Sandhills Briar secured the win on a final score of 32.2. The pair delivered a faultless cross country round and produced a composed show jumping performance that lifted them from second after the first phase to the top of the leaderboard.

The  Agnes Banks CCI4*S was won by Sam Woods and SS Eight Count, finishing on 38.0 after completing both jumping phases clear. Their consistency across all phases was enough to secure the title ahead of a competitive field.

In the 4CYTE CCI3*L victory went to Hannah Deegan with HK Hawthorn. They led from the dressage and remained in front throughout, completing both cross country and jumping without penalty to finish on 35.7.

The Rose Hip Vital CCI3*S was won by Emma Mason with Warrego Marco Polo. Their final score of 28.6 came off the back of a strong dressage test and a smooth cross country run, followed by a clear round in the final jumping phase.

In the Bates Saddles CCI2*L, Lamoza Velisha took the win with Ophelie Van Prinseveld on 28.4. The combination held their position after dressage and delivered a clear jumping round to close out the event.

A number of special awards were also presented. The Robert Slade Memorial Trophy for the CCI4L winner was awarded to Oliver Barrett with Sandhills Briar. The Holstein Park Leilani Trophy for the highest placed mare in the CCI4L went to Oliver Barrett with Sandhills Gem. The Rod Winchester Trophy for Best and Fairest Young Rider was awarded to Charlie Richardson, while the Rachel Watts Award for Excellence was presented to Geoff Speers. Best Dressed at the Agnes Banks Equine Centre trot up were Sam Jeffree and Maddie Cooper, and the Horseland Grooms Award was presented to Holly Brimblecombe, groom for Bloomfield Findon.

The Kohnke’s Own 2025 Young Event Horse Championships recognised winners across the age divisions: VH Royale ridden by Blair Richardson (95 cm), Bellhaven Chatterbox ridden by Kadi Eycamp (1* 5 to 6 year olds), Cracker Night ridden by Zachery Thorne (2* 6 to 7 year olds) and Oaks Quasimoto ridden by Judy Clarke (3* 7 to 8 year olds).

Grassroots titles were awarded across four heights. Champions were Amelie Scott and Leonardo Ricciardo (65 cm), Shive Weidemann and Sandhills Shiver (80 cm), Sharna Dolbey and Hillwood Park Thorlindah Hyacinth (95 cm), and Keira McNally and Yoicks Vegas (1*). The Equestrian NSW Grassroots Team Champions for 2024 were Young and Eventful, consisting of Tanisha Donnelly on Dom Perignon MVH, Annabelle Hwang on Squidward, Dane Schwartz on Chuppa Chup and Tehani Badke on Southern Cross Draco.

Best performed Thoroughbred awards were presented to Bold Venture ridden by Shenae Lowings in the CCI4*L and Fantastik Mr Fox ridden by Dean Stokes in the CCI3*L.
