Warren Wins Again at Willinga

After securing her first ever CDI 4* title at the Willinga Park Dressage by the Sea in the Grand Prix Special on Friday, 20-year-old old rider Mary Warren, and her 11-year-old gelding Mindarah Park Raphael added the prestigious CDI 4* Grand Prix Freestyle title to their resume, capping two wonderful weeks for the Hunter Valley combination.

“It’s so special to be presenting this horse, bred by my Mum and Dad, and knowing I have been able to take him through all the levels and do what we were able to do today. It’s just a dream come true,” Mary said. “Last week was a big introduction to the incredible facilities here at Willinga Park. What Terry Snow has built here is unlike anything else we have ever competed in. Raphy was certainly admiring all the architecture, the stables and enjoying the picturesque walks through the garden to each arena. But today he was on the job, he felt amazing, and although I know we had some little errors, all in all, it was a good test that the judges seemed to enjoy.”

Thank you to all who attended and competed in the Southern Hemisphere’s first ever CDI 4* Dressage Grand Prix Show. There are some combinations that are heading home with some fabulous scores from 5* international judges to lift their confidence in future events. It has been a pleasure to host Australia’s top Dressage combinations over the last two weeks. With more scores in the 70 percentile than we have ever seen in an Australian event, we look forward to even stronger results in 2020.
