Equestrian Australia is committed to the welfare of horses and the integrity of equestrian sport. All participants are responsible for understanding and complying with the FEI Equine Anti-Doping and Controlled Medication Program and EA's national medication control requirements.
FEI Equine Prohibited Substances
The FEI Equine Prohibited Substances List has been in force since 2011 and is updated annually. The list governs banned and prohibited substances across all FEI-sanctioned events. In 2016, the FEI Veterinary Department launched the global Equine Anti-Doping and Controlled Medication Program, providing comprehensive information on the program, procedures, and relevant regulations.

FEI Medication Treatment Log Book
Medication Log Books are required for all horses entered into FEI competitions from 5 April 2010. The log book records what substances from the FEI Equine Prohibited Substances List have been administered to a horse. This record helps focus attention on active substances being administered and serves as evidence if an FEI tribunal investigates a prohibited substance detection. Participants with horses competing in National events are also encouraged to use the log book.
