Full report

Where Did it Begin?

Queensland has been quietly growing the Equestrian Interschools phenomenon for 20 years.  At the 2005 EFA Annual Forum it was presented to over 50 stakeholders from the EFA. These stakeholders subsequently voted the formation of a National Interschools Pathway as the most important priority for the EFA. Read more

What Divisions are in the Format?

The 24 divisions were agreed by the state committees and were based on what is already working for Interschools championships in Queensland and some other states. Read more

 State Interschool Championships

Each EFA State Branch will conduct qualifying competitions, mostly in the form of a multi-sport State Interschool Championship. State championships may include other competitions outside of the 24 qualifying divisions.

For example State Championships have been known to include mounted games, hack rings, polocrosse, horsemanship skills and lower levels of Dressage, Jumping and Eventing than those listed in the qualifying divisions. Anyone who has suggestions or who wishes to volunteer at their State Interschool Championship should contact their EFA State Branch Office.
