New Australian Dressage Committee meets

After the introduction of a new governance structure that moved from a State-representative to a skill-based system, a newly-elected Committee met for the first time in Melbourne today.
The Committee had been elected by State Branch Dressage Committees from nominations received from all over Australia.
The Committee elected Lesley Sullivan as its new Chair. All members drew lots to determine the length of their initial term of office. Caroline Coleby and Kim Thomas drew a one-year term, and Lesley Sullivan, Susie Hoevenaars and Cathy Drury-Klein drew a two-year term.
Outgoing Chair Debbie MacNicol will assist the Committee in an advisory role during the initial period. Committee members made a presentation to Debbie to express their appreciation for her long years of service and the tremendous contribution Debbie has made to the sport of Dressage.
We wish the Committee well. It has a lot on its plate.
