Meeting of State Branch Chairs with EFA National Board
The Chairmen of the EFA State Branches and the EFA National Board met on Saturday evening and all day Sunday this weekend to discuss the future direction for the EFA and increase the communication on a wide range of issues.
The meeting allowed the National Board to bring Branch Chairs up-to-date with National plans and initiatives and get input from Branches on a number of policy matters.
The wide variety of topics included the 2005 - 2009 EFA Strategic Plan, the Memorandum of Understanding between the National Organisation and the Branches, a constitutional review, various policy issues concerning the affiliation of other horse sport associations, and the review of the EFA membership structure.
The meeting took place in a cooperative atmosphere, with frank discussion of all subject matters. Participants agreed on the importance of the Federation and the Branches moving in the same direction to grow the sport. There was agreement on a wide range of areas in which the EFA and the State Branches can move forward together.
