Matt Williams riding Leconte at Mannheim 5*
Mandy King, National Office, Tuesday, 28 August 2007 Matthew Williams, who is based in Belgium, had a successful weekend at the CSI3* Gijon in Spain after placing in both the Grand Prix and 1.40m speed class.
Matthew rode his National Squad horse, Leconte 6 to 3rd place in the 1.55m Grand Prix on Sunday against 48 other competitors. He also placed third in the 1.40m Table A Speed class on his horse Contact. These results follow a string of placings for Matthew at recent shows on the European circuit.

Matthew's recent results add to the success of our Australian show jumping riders, Edwina Alexander and James Paterson Robinson, who are also based in Europe. Edwina is a current member of the EFA National Elite Squad and Matthew has recently been selected onto the National Development squad with Leconte 6.
