EFA appoints National Communicatons Officer

EFA National Office, Monday, 15 October 2007

The EFA National Office has appointed Christine Haigh as National Communications Officer, a part-time role starting today.

Christine (known to almost everyone except her parents as Chris) comes to us with an extensive background in both corporate communications and equestrian journalism and photography. In 2004 she was the only Australian photojournalist to cover Paralympic Dressage in Athens.

Chris has been riding since early childhood and has been an active competitor in dressage, eventing, showing and endurance. She freely admits her competitive riding 'use-by' date has been reached, but still holds plans for a competitive driving career with her home-bred Trakehner colt.

Chris has been a horse breeder for many years and maintains firmly that this is not evidence that she is completely deranged. She and her partner operate their stud in the cold high country of Oberon, where they breed performance horses of Trakehner, Anglo Arabian and Pure Arabian bloodlines.

Apart from her horses, Chris's other passions are good books, vegetable gardening and cooking: excellent wine to accompany the end results of the cooking is also very important.
