Australian Riders Stephen Dingwall, Rebecca Crack and Melissa Froesch represented Australia on borrowed horses at a CSIO2* in Seoul, Korea from 15-19 April 2008.
The event consisted of a team competition followed by an individual competition. Unfortunately, the Australian Team drew a team of horses that were not of a high standard and the team did not have a successful show, finishing in sixth position. Melissa Froesch rode a difficult horse that was eliminated in the first round, but completed the second round due Melissa’s skill. Rebecca rode well on a better horse and had four-faults in each of her rounds. Stephen had a reluctant mount resulting in 9 faults in the first round and 16 in the second round.

The Australian Chef d’Equipe Peter Dingwall said it was a very worthwhile trip and encouraged further participation in the event. Rider accommodation and competition facilities were excellent and the international competition was of a good standard. Peter reported that the team were very well looked after and the Koreans were excellent hosts.
Stephen Dingwall reported “While we didn't have much luck and it wasn't a very successful competition for us, I did find it beneficial and found it good to get into a team situation and learn to work together in a sport that is normally very individual.”
