At the EFA Annual General Meeting in November 2008, two Directors, Mrs. Alexi Kentish and Mr. Geoff Sinclair (the present Chairman), will complete their second term on the new EFA Board and will not be eligible to stand for re-election until the 2009 AGM, i.e. they need to take a break of at least one year. We now call for nominations to fill these two vacancies and also for nominations who wish to be considered for appointment by the National Board.

The EFA National Board is appointed by the EFA's "Shareholders" (the EFA Branches) from nominations received from the EFA membership.  Other persons may also nominate but need to become EFA members before their appointment to the Board. Directors on the National Board cannot at the same time be on the Board of an EFA Branch or chair a National Discipline Committee.

 

Becoming a Director on the EFA National Board is a great opportunity for people from a wide range of backgrounds to contribute with their sport, business and professional experience to the governance and direction of the Federation.

Nominations must be received in the National Office by 17:00 (5PM ) on Monday, 30 June 2008. The shareholders (Branches) will elect the new Board late July/early August, well before this year's AGM on Friday, 14 November 2008 in Adelaide.
