Final EI restrictions end 30 June

From 01 July a Travelling Horse Statement (THS) will not be required to move horses, nor will a permit be required to travel horses into Victoria from NSW or Qld.
NSW Minister of Primary Industries Ian Macdonald confirmed today that the precautionary measures retained since the Equine Influenza outbreak will be lifted at midnight on 30 June.
This means that THS will no longer be required to move horses. Movement within NSW and across state borders can occur without restrictions or any requirement for reporting the trip.
Event registration will continue and the NSW emergency animal disease hotline will remain in operation. Call 1800 675 888 to report any suspected emergency animal disease.
The Victorian Minisiter for Agriculture, Joe Helper announced on Friday, 27 June that horses travelling from NSW or Qld will no longer require a permit to enter Victoria.
