Clayton wins the 2008 HSBC FEI World Cup Final

Sunday 21 September

Clayton Fredericks has won the 2008 HSBC FEI World Cup Final. Ben Along Time had two rails in hand after Pippa Funnell (GB) knocked down one fence on Ensign giving Clayton 4 more points breathing room. However much to Pippa's relief  her rail did not influence the final result. Ben Along Time  knocked down just one pole giving Clayton the victory (44.9).  2nd to Pippa (49.9) and 3rd to Frank Ostholt (GER) on Air Jordan 11 (50.9).

There were only 3 clear rounds,  by 19-year-old Laura Collett (GBR) on Fernhill Sox who finished 13th, Stephen Bradley (USA) and Brandenburg's Joshua finishing 18th and New Zealand's Andrew Nicholson on Henry Tankerville who finished 26th.

Kevin McNab on Gameplay had 8 jumping faults to finish 10th in his first-ever World Cup Final.

Congratulations to the Australian riders.
