Bettina Hoy wins Pau event, William Fox-Pitt the HSBC FEI Classics Series
Bettina Hoy has won the Les Etoiles de Pau - the final CCI 4* in the HSBC FEI Classics series, with the closest of margins over Nicholas Touzaint (FRA). Husband Andrew finished 6th.

Bettina Hoy riding for Germany (of course) and husband Andrew have taken the lead in the 4-star Dressage. Clayton Fredericks and The Frog are in 17th place. Friday 24 Oct:
The standings after the CCI 2* Dressage held on WED and THURS are as follows: 1 Fox Pitt (GBR) 36.6 2 Ruth Edge (GBR) 36.9 3 Christian Weerts (FRA) 37.2 =4Mathieu Lemoine (FRA) 41.7 =4Bettina Hoy (GER) 41.7 Erin is in 12 th place on 45.6, Lucinda in equal 13th on 45.9 and Clayton 18th on 46.5 The CCI4* starts on FRI. Results tomorrow. Andrew Hoy and Clayton Fredericks will represent AUS at Pau CCI 4* this weekend. William Fox-Pitt leads the series by 25 points and is a certainty to win the $US150,000 prize money. At the end of each season, which concludes after Les Etoiles de Pau this weekend the five riders with the greatest number of points will be awarded PRIZE-MONEY as follows: 1st - US$ 150,000 (Series Champion) 2nd - US$ 75,000
3rd - US$ 50,000 4th - US$ 33,000 5th - US$ 25,000
Wiliam Fox-Pitt can not be beaten, however the interest lies in the following 4 places. The 10 riders placed behind Fox-Pitt are separated by just 5 points. POINTS SYSTEM
Points will be awarded to the top ten riders at each event as follows: Riders can only win points with their best horse/performance at one event and if the combination has obtained a qualifying result.
