Expressions of Interest for Showjumping Trans Tasman events in New Zealand

The Equestrian Federation of Australia has received an invitation from Showjumping New Zealand who will be holding a Series of Trans Tasman Competitions at the following two competitions in February and March of 2009.

The first competition will be held at Woodhill Sands in Auckland on the 27^th February – 1^st March.

The next competition will be held on the 5^th March in Taranaki 420kms from Auckland.

On the 6-8 March the North Island Championships will be held at the same location in Taranaki. Following this the Horse of the Year Show will be held at Hastings on the 18-22 March for interested riders who wish to attend.

The Trans Tasman events will be held over the Grand Prix classes at both events. Full show schedules can be found below. At this time the format and details of the Trans Tasman competition are still being finalized therefore we would like riders to indicate if they are available to compete at both shows or just the one.
It has been confirmed that the Trans Tasman competition will be a combination of results from the two shows therefore competitors will need to compete at both events (5 January 2009).

The EFA would like to invite horse and rider combinations to indicate their interest to compete at these competitions in New Zealand. Combinations must have experience at 1.40m or higher.

The riders will be responsible for:

Arrangement and expenses of travel (flights) to and from New Zealand.
Arrangement and expenses of horse travel to and from New Zealand
Accommodation expenses
Insurance (The EFA National Office can assist with arranging this insurance)

The EFA National office will provide administration support and team uniforms for all riders and officials.
