- Foundation of Australian International Showman qualifiers
- New Rule Change:
- As of 1 January 2006 Leading Rein rider age to be 5 years and under 8 at the date of the competition.
- Development of a more comprehensive Rule Book containing more general information about the various aspects of the Show Horse discipline. This is intended to provide a more instructive resource for new competitors, and a useful resource for Organisers and Judges.
