Nominations for National EFA Awards close 15 December 2007 (extended)

Any EFA Member can submit nominations for the National EFA Awards.
The 2007 Awards were presented at a ceremony on the decks of the HMAS Vampire destroyer ship which is on display at the Australian National Maritime Museum in Darling Harbour, Sydney. The ceremony was attended by Branch and Sport Committee stakeholders of the sport. Master of Ceremonies was EFA President Geoff Sinclair, and awards were presented by AOC Executive Member, Russ Withers.
The 2006 Awards were presented at a ceremony at the Treasury building in Melbourne attended by stakeholders, leaders and star performers of the sport. Master of Ceremonies was outgoing EFA President Russ Withers, and awards were presented to the winners by the CEO of the Australian Sports Commission, Mark Peters.
The EFA Order of Merit
The EFA Order of Merit is the highest level of honour awarded by the EFA.
EFA Special Services Award
The EFA Special Services Award may be given to persons who have worked over a longer period or contributed through a number of extraordinary single efforts, for the horse, its breeding, its “keeping”, for the sport or generally in the horse industry.
EFA Annual National Sport Achievement Awards
These awards may be given to members to recognise an outstanding achievement in, or contribution to the Federation or to Equestrian Sport during the year before close of nominations.
- Event Volunteer of the Year
- Official of the Year (Judges, Technical Delegates, Course Designers, etc.)
- Equestrian Athlete of the Year
- Horse of the Year
- Coach of the Year
- Equestrian Event of the Year
- Club of the Year
- Administrator of the Year
The presentation of these awards takes place at the EFA Annual National Forum (or if that is not possible, at a Branch Award Night).
