Nominations for positions of Stewards General
The EFA is calling for nominations of suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of EFA Steward General for one or more sports (disciplines).
EFA Sport Committees are generally responsible for the overall management of the training and accreditation of officials within their Discipline. This responsibility is delegated to them by the National Board.
The EFA Stewarding accreditation program is an EFA Officiating responsibility that goes across all Disciplines and is facilitated by the EFA National Office.
The FEI has appointed Stewards General for each of its Disciplines (Sports) and expects its member National Federations (NFs) to adopt a similar system. For NFs where the membership size and the number of participants in particular sports do not justify separate appointments, the FEI suggests that a number of sports are combined and become the responsibility of one Steward General. The EFA is considering the appointment of two or three Stewards General to cover all of its Sports from the beginning of 2007. The National Office will carry out the overall coordination.
