EFA Dressage Committee - Nominations close 28 February 2007

National Office, Thursday, 30 November 2006

In a ground-breaking move, the EFA Dressage Committee unanimously agreed to implement a non-representational ('skills-based') structure in 2007.

Presently, the Committee consists of representatives of the Dressage Committes in the seven EFA Branches, a Chair and the Riders' Representative.

The Committee proposed to the National Board a new system to call for nominations from the general EFA membership, from which Branch Dressage Committees will elect five members to form the new EFA Dressage Committee plus the Riders' Representative.  This new Committee will elect a Chair from among themselves. Membership of the new Committee will be limited to three terms of two years before they are required to take a break of at least one year.

This week the National Board endorsed the necessary changes to the EFA Membership and Committee By-Laws to permit the new committee structure.

The new committee will be elected in March or April 2007 and will run for a trial period of two years, after which the new structure will be reviewed.

Nominations are now open.  Download a Nomination Pack in PDF or in MS Word and submit nominations to the EFA National Office by close of business Wednesday 28 February 2007
