Matthew Dowsley advised late last week that horses, riders and fellow travellers arrived safely and well in Amsterdam.
He reported:
"Our flight Sydney/Amsterdam was quite an uneventful one, thank God.Everything went smoothly, all horses ate, drank and coped extremely well with the length of the trip. It took 40 hours from stable to stable.
We arrived at (German Trainer) Mr Koschel's place approximately 10.30pm on Wednesday evening. The horses settled in well. We have just been walking them twice a day for 30 minutes.
Tomorrow we will give them all a quiet ride and just start to build the work up. The facility is absolutely first class and the hotel we are staying in for the time being is extremely comfortable."
Matthew and Claudia Harper's Cinderella will now train with renowned German trainer Jürgen Koschel in preparation for the World Cup Dressage Final in Las Vegas 19-22 April 2007. Before their trip to the USA, the combination will try to get entry in local events. We are pleased to report that Matthew and Cinderella have a "Wild Card" entry for the Indoor Brabant CDI-W at s'Hertogenbosch (NED), which is the final European qualifier and one of the biggest World Cup Dressage and Jumping events.
At the FEI World Cup Final, Australia will also have representation in the Jumping. Gavin Chester and Warlord II are the winners of the Australian League and Edwina Alexander is close to qualifying through the European League.
