Edwina Tops-Alexander & Ego Van Orti

Growing up in Pymble, Sydney, Edwina didn’t come from a typical horse background but she persisted and begged her parents for her own horse after learning to ride on the neighbours pony. There was no turning back for Edwina, in 1995 she won the Australian Young Rider Championships, and in 1998 she packed her bags and headed overseas . At the 2006 Aachen World Equestrian Games Edwina’s career took off when she became the Australian first rider to qualify for the jumping final, narrowly missing a medal and finishing fourth. Since the end of 2009 Edwina was the highest ranked female Show Jumping rider in the World. In 2011 Edwina married her long-time partner Jan Tops. Edwina is currently a leading contender for the 2014 Global Champions Tour, a title that she has won on two occasions (2011, 2012).
