This August and September, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil will play host to the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games. We invite you to #RideWithUs as we inch closer to one of the world’s biggest sporting spectacles.

Please understand that there are limitations on the content which National Federations can and can’t share across its digital platforms during the Games due to an International Olympic Committee (IOC) policy, known as rule 40.3.

  • 1st Games in South-America

  • 306 medal events (136 for women, 161 for men and 9 mixed !)
  • 45,000 volunteers

2016 Australian Olympic Team : 

  • 410 athletes (sane as London)
  • 300 officials
  • 207 men and 203 women on the Team
  • Australia will compete in 26 of the 28 sports
  • 26 is the Average Age of the Team

2016 Australian Paralympic Team :

2016 Equestrian competition in Rio : 

  • Jumping: 27 countries, 15 teams, 75 horse/rider combinations
  • Eventing: 24 countries, 13 teams, 65 horse/rider combinations
  • Dressage: 25 countries, 11 teams, 60 horse/rider combinations
  • 78 Para-Dressage horses will travel to Rio for the Paralympic Games.
