2017 Marcus Oldham Ballarat International Horse Trials

Friends of Ballarat Eventing Association (FOBEA) conduct the Marcus Oldham International CIC Horse Trials in the heritage listed Victoria Park situated in the centre of the regional Victorian city of Ballarat ( 110 km West of Melbourne)

The event has national classes from Ev A80 to EvA105 and FEI classes from CIC One Star to CIC Three Star. The XC course provides a unique experience for all riders as the course alters every year and extends into picturesque urban parkland beyond the Equestrian centre. The track is an ideal preparation for FEI riders heading to M3DE- similar terrain and the same Course designers- Ewan Kellett and Mick Pineo. ALL Show jumping and Dressage are conducted on all-weather surfaces. David Sheppard is the SJ Course Designer for all classes.

The event celebrates its 10 year anniversary being held on the Heritage weekend for the City of Ballarat. A celebration acknowledging this achievement will be held on the evening of Friday 12 May 2017.

The event has excellent catering and a wide choice of food vendors for competitors and the public.  Spectators have free entry and are invited to not only view all phases of the competition but enjoy the displays and shopping opportunities at the Trade village which also forms an integral part of the event.
