Naracoorte Horse Trials was started in 1975 as a Junior 3DE. Naracoorte has continued to run consecutively on the one venue (farm) for 44 years and is known for the quality of footing on the cross-country. Predominately flat going with the Mosquito creek meandering through the property amongst old massive red gum trees, the course is renowned for its big timber, technical tests and open galloping. Course is designed by Wayne Copping. Dressage and jumping is now held on the local polocrosse grounds near to Naracoorte.
