Australian WEG Endurance Team Update

On behalf of the National Endurance Selectors, Equestrian Australia (EA) is saddened to announce that the Australian WEG Endurance team horse FLF Go Flight Leader, owned and ridden by Jodie Salinas, has been euthanised following fatal complications subsequent to colic. Our greatest sympathy goes to Jodie and her family, for whom “Jack” had become a much loved member. 

Following on from this tragedy, the selectors are pleased to have the combination of Samantha Jones and Wallace Hill Sundance available to elevate from reserve to team member. Sam and Sundance have continued to work hard in preparation for the event should a situation such as this arise, and as such will no doubt make a great addition to the team. Jodie, as an FEI elite level endurance rider, remains reserve rider for the team.
