Australians Perform Well at Longines FEI/WBFSH World Breeding Dressage Championships

Australia fared well in the weekend's Longines FEI/WBFSH World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses where a team of three Young Horses was fielded, with Lindballe’s Just Perfect (5YO) and Feodoro (7YO) ridden by Simone Pearce and Muschamp Royal Black (6YO) ridden by Rebecca Rooke.

Australia also had a representative in the CDI1* Stallion Class with Napoleon Candau & Anthony Pelling who were representing the PRE Breed.

Simone Pearce jockeyed both horses into the respective age group finals on Sunday, with Rebecca Rooke making it through to the Small Final for six-year-olds

Simone Pearce said; “The championships was enjoyable but definitely not without it’s highs and lows…both horses performed super well and gave me super rides. I am always proud of the youngsters when they perform in these big environments, and now it’s back to the drawing board in preparation for next year with new goals”

Anthony Pelling came a respectful 5th place with 69.250% in the CDI1* Stallion Inter 1 Freestyle and said “the final was super, it was the first time I have ridden at this level and riding into the main stadium at Ermelo was a feeling I will never forget…I just felt Napoleon grow as we entered and I knew he was ready to compete, he knew how big this moment was.”
