Capricorn Australia Dressage by the Sea, Presented by Willinga Park

Willinga Park, a brand-new venue on the South Coast of New South Wales, is gearing up to host their first Dressage CDI competition, the ‘Capricorn Australia Dressage by the Sea’.

It’s an event not to be missed. Spectators will be treated to an experience rarely seen at equestrian competitions in Australia. The award-winning Architecture and botanic gardens will be on show, along with a taste village filled with local produce from the South Coast region (such as seafood, chocolate, cheese, berries, and wine!).  Shop until you drop in the trade village filled with equine products, or even see the new Range Rover Velar (hot off the press) on display!

Dressage by the Sea will be held from Friday 29th September through to Sunday 1st October 2017 encompassing CDI 2*, under 25, young rider and a number of national level dressage competitions.

There are limited VIP tickets remaining for a delicious canape-style lunch on Sunday. Lunch will include fresh seafood and other local produce, crafted by chefs from renowned local restaurant Tallwood. Drinks are also included, featuring a range of carefully selected local wines. Entertainment will include the freestyles, dressage choreographed to music.

For a more casual experience, build your own lunch hamper from the stalls in the Taste Village, which you can enjoy in the grandstands or breathtaking gardens whilst exploring the sculptures.

All of this plus Australia’s best dressage athletes, who will converge on this sleepy, little coastal town from as far as Queensland and Southern Victoria. Many of the competitors have their sights set on the World Equestrian Games in 2018, and will be out to impress in the lead up to the Nationals in October.

Friday’s action will include the prestigious International ‘CDI2* Grand Prix’ with Olympic athletes battling some World Equestrian Games hopefuls.  Saturday will showcase some of Australia’s best up-and-comers with the international Young Rider (16 – 21 years old) and Under 25 (16 – 25 years old) competitions.  Sunday is the Crème De La Crème of dressage with dressage choreographed to music.

General Admission tickets for Friday are free (you must register). You can buy day tickets for Saturday and Sunday, or save with a weekend ticket. Special deals are also available for kids and families.
