Contribute your voice at the National Volunteering Conference

The 17th National Volunteering Conference is Australia’s key volunteering leadership event uniting the sector to ignite, invigorate and inspire volunteering.

NVC18 will provide a forum for not for profit leaders, managers of volunteers, researchers and policy contributors to advance and strengthen the volunteering sector through knowledge sharing and discussion.

Volunteering Australia is inviting you to contribute your voice and submit an abstract to present at the National Volunteering Conference 2018.

They are looking for abstracts from anyone with an interest in volunteering – volunteers, administrators, consumers, researchers, industry partners, peak bodies and national associations.

The conference theme is Ignite, Invigorate, Inspire. Abstracts are welcome to focus on one of the following sub-themes:

  • Igniting leadership
  • Invigorating knowledge
  • Inspiring innovation

Abstracts will be submitted via an online portal and will be reviewed to consider their place in the conference program. Abstract submission closes 19 November 2017. Authors will be notified of the result of their submission in February 2018.

An abstract is a description of a presentation that you wish to give. In this case, what we require is a write up of no more than 250 words that details what will be presented and how it relates to the conference themes and sub themes.

If you wanted to submit an abstract for a panel, it would include a break down of who would be on the panel and what would be discussed. For a solo presentation, it would go into more detail about what that person says.
