Dressed For Success - Australia's WEG Athletes Receive Ariat Uniform

Australian athletes have been presented with their team uniform for the FEI World Equestrian Games 2014.

The uniform has been designed and supplied by Ariat, a major national partner of Equestrian Australia and the Australian Equestrian Team and includes competition and casual wear for the 130 strong team.

Australia’s jumping team was among the first to receive their uniform when they gathered for a pre-Games camp in the Netherlands.

Australia’s dressage and Para-Equestrian Games teams are at a pre-Games camp in Deauville, just 45 minutes from Caen, where the Games will be staged and the team received their uniforms on Tuesday evening.

Athletes were in high spirits after receiving their Ariat gear.

“It’s fabulous I like it. It’s slim fitting which I like. The colours are great,” said London Olympic dressage rider Lyndal Oatley.

Para-Equestrians Chelsea Higgins and Nicole Blanks, who will make their Australian team debut in Normandy couldn’t contain their excitement at receiving their first Australian team uniform.

“I absolutely love it, it’s comfortable, it fits really well. It’s got long arms which I love. I love the colours,” said Chelsea.

“I think the Ariat uniform is lovely, the fit is super, it’s the best uniform that I’ve seen before,” said Nicole.

The FEI World Equestrian Games 2014 begin with the opening ceremony on Saturday 23 August with competition to commence on Monday.
