EOI for Young Rider Trans-Tasman Team Test on Borrowed Horses

Equestrian Australia has received an invitation from Equestrian Sports New Zealand (ESNZ) for riders to compete in a borrowed horse event taking place 25th -27th  January 2019 at Larsens Showjumping Championships, Gisborne, NZ .

We would like to invite members who meet the age category of 16 – 21 years of age (calculated from the beginning of the calendar year in which the rider turns 16, until the end of the calendar year in which they reach 21), to indicate their interest to compete at this competition.

Young Rider Trans-Tasman Team Test, Larsens Showjumping Championships, Gisborne, New Zealand - 25th -27th January 2019

The invite is for:

  • 4 Riders, aged 16 – 21 years to compete in 120cm Show Jumping Event
  • 1 Coach/Chef d’Equipe/Official

The Show Organising Committee will provide the following:

  • Borrowed Horse
  • Team vehicle in Gisborne
  • Accommodation
  • Some meals
  • Some sightseeing and activities

The Riders/Coach will be responsible for:

  • Return airfares
  • Insurance 
  • Any additional costs

The competition will be run accordance with the rules found in the ESNZ Jumping rule book here: https://www.nzequestrian.org.nz/disciplines/jumping-show-hunter/resources/rules/ 

The EA National office will provide administration support and a uniform for the selected riders.

All interested riders/officials will need to complete the application form, located in their MyEA Portal before close of business Friday 23rd November 2018.  Log in here: https://www.nominate.com.au/eaonline/portal/Login.aspx

The form can be located on the left hand side of the menu under the tab "Application to Represent Australia Riding Borrowed Horses". Please note only applications submitted via the MyEA Portal will be accepted.

The EA Jumping Committee would like to make all applicants aware that this event takes place the same weekend as the 2019 Boneo Classic in Victoria.
