Jumping Chef D’Equipe Appointed

Equestrian Australia (EA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Todd Hinde to the position of Jumping Chef D’Equipe.

Hinde, 30, is a highly experienced rider and passionate about the future of the Jumping discipline in Australia. He said he is honoured to be assigned to the role.

“I see it as an opportunity to support and help grow the sport in Australia,” Hinde said.

“Each year the sport in Australia is growing and we are catching up to Europe and the US. We have always had quality riders but now the shows and management of combinations is getting better.”

Hinde will provide support to local and internationally based riders and help build a holistic team environment across continents.

 Equestrian Australia Jumping Committee Chair John Vallance said;

“It’s nice to see someone relatively young and enthusiastic from the sport taking on a high-profile job,” Vallance said.

 “He has had experience in Europe and he’s a level-headed quick learning guy.”

“The whole selection panel is very confident he will do a great job at Tryon and hopefully he will stay on for a few more major events after that.”

Todd Hinde’s position is effective immediately with his first major focus on the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games in Tryon, USA.
