Update on Elected Director nominations and 2026 SGM

Dear Members,

We wanted to provide a brief update on this year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), proposed Special General Meeting (SGM) and the Elected Director nomination process. The AGM will proceed as planned on 18 November 2026. The EA Board is not proposing any motions for the SGM, while eligible members and State Branches have until 18 October 2026 to submit a valid Notice of Motion.

Each year, EA holds an Annual General Meeting to consider the annual business required under the Constitution, including the accounts and reports and the Elected Director process. A Special General Meeting is held where there is special business to consider, including eligible motions submitted by members or State Branches, or business put forward by the EA Board.

If no valid Notices of Motion are received, there will be no business to consider at the SGM and the meeting will not proceed. EA will confirm this following the Notice of Motion deadline.

Elected Director nomination

Nominations for the Elected Director position have now closed, with EA receiving one nomination for the one available position.

The nomination will now be considered by the Nominations Committee in accordance with the EA Constitution. Details of the nominee, together with the Nominations Committee’s advice and the Elected Director item for consideration at the AGM, will be included in the formal AGM agenda and supporting papers provided to Voting Members.

The AGM agenda and meeting papers will be provided to Voting Members in accordance with the meeting timetable.

Kind regards,
Holly Noue
Company Secretary

On behalf of the Board
