Young Riders selected to represent Australia in Taipei & Thailand at borrowed horse events

Equestrian Australia would like to congratulate the following riders who have been selected to compete in borrowed horse events overseas:

CSIJ-B 2018 Chinese Taipei Equestrian Association, 3rd AEF Junior Jumping Championship, 9-12 November 2018

Sydney Rose Maynard, accompanied by Melanie Carter as Chef d’Equipe

CSIJ-B 2018 Thailand Equestrian Federation, Bangkok at The Princess Cup, 19 - 21 November 2018

The team will consist of Jessie Rice-Ward, Sophie Hatch and Darcy Wade accompanied by Rory Hovell as Chef d’Equipe.

The riders will head overseas to compete against other international riders on borrowed horses, jumping courses of  1.10m.

EA received in excess of 60 applications for each of the two events and were overwhelmed with the quality and enthusiasm of all who applied.

Chair of the National Jumping Selection Panel, Graeme Watts said “It was great to see applications from young riders all across Australia. The selectors job was made very difficult having to choose from the large number of quality applications for the limited positions available."

We wish all of the riders the best of luck and an update with results from the events will be provided following the event.
