Alistair MacKinlay, board member of Equestrian Australia

Alistair Mackinlay has been elected to the board of Equestrian Australia in November 2018.

Alistair is a former lawyer with over 45 years experience, of which 30 were as principal of his own legal practice which specialised in commercial transactions and commercial disputes. He is also a former accredited mediator of the WA Supreme Court.

Alistair has been the chairman and director of a number of publicly listed companies over the years and has been the owner of a number of successful businesses in his own right.

He is a former dressage rider and competitor, his wife still competes.

Alistair is part-owner of a performance horse stud in Western Australia. He has been a  participant and office bearer in a number of sporting bodies

He has been Director and Chairman of Equestrian Western Australia, president of an AUSSI swimming club, and is currently member of Equestrian Western Australia, the Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club, the Vines Golf Club, and the Aston Martin Owners Club.

Alistair currently owns a manufacturing business with offices in 4 States.

He is committed to ensuring Equestrian Australia, as the peak horse sporting body, is governed for the benefit of all participants in the sport, from first-time riders and participants, to Olympic Competitors.
