Ellen Vincent

Ellen started riding at her local pony club when she was four and discovered vaulting when she was eight. Ellen and her sister were introduced to vaulting by their mother and both loved it so much that they ended up begging her to continue in the sport. Because the family lived far from the vaulting club Ellen's mother started training a horse she owned at home so that her daughers could learn everything about the sport without having to travel. In May Ellen completed a  successful qualifying tour of Europe alongside fellow Australian senior male vaulter, Jamie Hocking. The two vaulters competed at CVI  events in Belgium, Bern (in Switzerland) and at the Magna Racino Springfest (in Esbreichendorf). Ellen departs in July for Europe where she will get to train with Julie Newel and the British Squad before heading over to Vienna to train alongside vaulter Marie Doppelinger and with Coach Stefan Csandl in the week's leading up to the Junior World Championships.
